Lake Management - Pecos, New Mexico Although this trophy fishing resort near Pecos, NM narrowly escaped a devastating fire in 2002, the fishing remains excellent. Aquatic Consultants is proud to manage the seven high mountain trout lakes at this resort on Cow Creek. The uppermost lake receives water directly from the creek through a single diversion and begins the flow-through system. Water flow through each lake can be controlled through a series of outflow culverts and connecting streams, before it is discharged back into the river. The lakes support populations of rainbow trout and brook trout. Water quality monitoring and aquatic vegetation control are conducted monthly as part of our annual management contract. In addition, our biologists conduct various fish survey work and provide trout management recommendations for the owners. |
