Santa Ana Golf Club is ranked in the prestigious top 100 in the country by both Golf Digest and Golfweek. The golf course is located north of Albuquerque along the Rio Grande River. Golf courses in the southwest typically require hundreds of millions of gallons per water annually, so a reliable source of water and water storage is essential.
ACI was contracted to design and renovate an irrigation storage lake at the Santa Ana Golf Club. The renovation increased the storage capacity to over 2.5 million gallons by reshaping the shorelines and increasing depth. New liner was installed to minimize seepage loss, and rip-rap was placed along the shorelines to stabilize the banks during times of significant drawdown. New intakes were also installed for the irrigation pumphouse.
