Stream Construction

For years, river systems throughout the West have been altered through water diversions, flood control, and land management practices. The stresses put on these river systems have contributed to bank erosion and have eliminated native vegetation. This typically results in wide, shallow, and braided river channels that provide poor fish habitat.

Some landowners are pushing to reverse that trend. ACI provides the engineering and construction expertise to return the stream to a more natural state, as well as providing strategically placed and effective habitats that hold plenty of large fish. As with lake construction, the components of each project differs depending on the scope of work, but in general, ACI provides the following stream construction services:

- Complete Engineering and Hydrology Analysis
- Floodplain Analysis
- 404/401 Permitting
- Habitat Construction/Boulder Placement
- Shoreline Reshaping
- Native Vegetation Planting
- Fish Feeders
- Site Clean-up

"The work you completed on the ranch gave us an excellent idea of the resource we had, and the corresponding stockings helped us redistribute our fish to provide more angler opportunity...a great job."
